Olekso Castle

Dating back to 1390, the castle stands on a 50 metre high hill. Over the years, it’s been owned by Poland, Lithuania and Hungary but now belongs firmly to Ukraine.

You can park your car near the old monastery before paying the 90 UAH entrance fee which gives access to the extensive grounds with many sculptures and the inside of the castle with it’s huge paintings and exhibitions. It can really be compared to similar castles in France and Denmark for example.
